The Gran Hotel Costa del Sol is a beachfront hotel situated on the Mijas Costa in the small but lively town of La Cala de Mijas. The hotel was built in 2002 and has been completely renovated since then. The Gran Hotel Costa del Sol is a favourite with golfers and families alike due to the good local amenities and the beach.
Accommodation
The hotel consists of a total of 302 rooms on 6 floors of which 2 are suites, 10 are singles and 290 are double rooms. The spacious rooms are all en suite and contain a hairdryer, a telephone, satellite/ cable TV, a radio, a stereo and Internet access as well as a balcony with views out over the sea. In addition all the rooms are centrally heated and air conditioning with parquet flooring.
Food & Beverage
There is a buffet available everyday for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Lunch and dinner may also be order from the menu. Special dietary requirements are catered for and it’s possible to book an all-inclusive stay. If you prefer to try somewhere new, La Cala de Mijas is a lively town with many cafes, bars and restaurants covering a wide range of cuisines, from traditional Spanish dishes to international delicacies.
Facilities
The hotel operates a 24-hour reception with a safe and a currency exchange desk, along with a cafe, a small newsagents and 2 bars. In addition the hotel provides a TV room, a games room, an air-conditioned restaurant with separate non-smoking area, Internet access and bicycle hire.
The hotel’s swimming pool, gardens and a large terrace with a Chiringuito bar with sun beds and parasols are located overlooking the beach with fantastic sea views and a private beach access.
