Mijas Los Lagos Golf
Mijas Los Lagos Golf on the Costa del Sol Golf was opened in 1976 and is the older of the two golf courses and receives its name because of the eight lakes that pepper the golf course.
Mijas Los Lagos Golf is being constantly upgraded and refurbished to match modern day standards and is a very good mixture of holes to be enjoyed by all golfers whatever their handicap.
It is one of the longest (6404 mts in length) and flattest golf courses on the Costa del Sol Golf, Spain as well as being spacious with few obstructions and practically no rough.
Exotic araucalia pines and perfumed jacaranda line the fairways at Mijas Los Lagos. With two of the busiest and most popular golf courses on the Costa del Sol Golf, Mijas Golf is definitely doing something right.
Both 18 hole Mijas Golf Courses were designed by Robert Trent Jones in the mid 70s. Golfers will enjoy Trent Jones’ creation with its gentle, undulating fairways and the general impression of wide open space on the Mijas golf.
It appears that the legendary designer wanted to create a golf course that was suitable for amateurs but, at the same time, he has also managed to present them with a challenge.
Mijas Los Lagos Golf is a suitable course for big hitters, but it also demands great concentration on the part of the player as well as short shots.
