Miraflores Golf
Miraflores Golf is Situated between Mijas and Marbella on the Costa del Sol Golf.
The surrounding countryside is, like that of most of the golf courses on the Costa del Sol, Spain are quite spectacular with views of both the sea and the mountains.
Designed by Falco Nardi, Miraflores Golf Course was opened to the public in 1990. It is very pleasant and full of interesting challenges for all golfers, whatever their handicap may be.
The golf course presents various water hazards so concentration is very important as any mistake, however small, could lead to the loss of the ball.
The 570m par-5 twelfth hole is the most difficult hole on Miraflores Golf, with the lake in the middle of the fairways makes for a tricky second shot. The 520m par-5 sixth and the 480m par-5 fourteenth holes are also worth a mention.
Water also divides the fairway on the 570 metre 12th and a water hazard forms a protective moat around the green on the 15th.
Miraflores Golf Course maintains it’s fairways and greens in lush splendor throughout the year, with the water supplied from three artificial ponds which come into play on four holes.
Olive trees also form part of the charm and design of Miraflores Golf as some of the fairways are lined with trees making them seem narrower than they seam.
The Golf Academy offers tuition for everyone, from the outright beginner to the most discerning low-handicap golfer wishing to hone his skills.
